On September 24-25 in Blagoveshensk, ‘Multidimensional approach to treating wounds of various etiology’ Interregional scientific conference was held, with a medical items exhibition incorporated.
The conference dealt with the current issues for doctors and their assistants, such as patterns of chronic wound progression, wound dressing and therapy methods for grownups and children.
Lubov Chernova, head of Gexa’s medical items department, made two reports, namely, ‘Use of disposable underwear and clothing in order to prevent healthcare-associated infection’ on September 24, and ‘Surgery underwear and clothing for surgical prophylaxis’ for doctors, on September 25.
Lubov Vladimirovna underlined in her speech that nonwoven materials enable healthcare-associated infection risk mitigation. She also pointed out that such advanced materials as Gexa-developed TUTAMI considerably enhance the waterproof properties of surgical underwear and clothing, which is especially important for carrying out liquid-abound operations. This, in its turn, helps protecting patients, as well as medical staff, against infection.
Gexa took an active part in the event by providing medical products made of nonwoven materials. The exhibition attendees could learn the special features of disposable underwear and clothing use, in particular, for treating the patients with wounds of various etiology and location. The company representatives were happy to share the details of Gexa – Nonwoven Materials product range and answer the attendees’ questions.
